Ask Me Anything with Prentis & Eddie

On this very special episode of Finding Our Way, Prentis is joined by our co-producer, Eddie Hemphill, as they sit with questions from the listeners on our first ever Ask Me Anything episode. Listen in as Prentis dives deep into techniques for boundary settings, lineages of somatics, and practices of hope in our time.

Prentis Hemphill is movement facilitator, Somatics teacher and practitioner, and working at the convergence of healing, collective transformation, and political organizing. Prentis has spent the last 15 years bridging wellbeing and power building as a part of movement building organizations, most recently as the Healing Justice Director at Black Lives Matter Global Network. In 2016, Prentis was awarded the Buddhist Peace Fellowship Soma Award for community work inspired by Buddhist thought. At present, Prentis is the founder and leader of The Embodiment Institute and The Black Embodiment Initiative.

Eddie Hemphill, @eddierhea, is a filmmaker, producer, editor, musician, movement worker, the Co-Producer of Finding Our Way, and he may just be the brother of our host!⠀

All of Eddie’s work centers the needs of communities he cares for and aims to build linkages between them. Eddie has served as the Creative Director of storytelling projects linking black struggle with that of native communities and served as fundraiser and communications director for community health and reproductive rights organizations. Eddie has helped communicate the stories of artists, activists, community orgs, and educational institutions and has most recently lent his storytelling abilities to national black movement.⠀

With @findingourwaypodcast, Eddie wants to provide tools for a rebuilding of this world that is rooted in the very best of who we are.
